Pacific Dakota Restorations have the privilege of restoring two Douglas C-47 Dakota’s.  Please select from the following links to learn more about the history of the aircraft.

C-47A 43-48234 is our airworthy restoration.  An ex USAAF aircraft serving in the Pacific during World War 2.   Post war, the aircraft was purchased by the Australian Government and operated by a major cargo airline in Melbourne.

C-47A FZ631, was an ex RAF aircraft operated by no.24 Squadron.  This aircraft was the personal aircraft of Field Marshall Henry Maintland Wilson, and the crew and aircraft had a very interesting wartime history.  Post war the aircraft was operated by Qantas Empire Airways and a number of other airlines.  The aircraft ended her flying life mounted on a poll at Cairns Airport.
